Steve brought the multi award-winning restaurant etch by Steven Edwards to Sussex alongside his business partner BBC's MasterChef The Professionals winner Steven Edwards where they have continued to develop their food and drink business White Onyx providing exclusive events at top hotels such as The Bingham Riverhouse and collaborating with other start ups such as The London Vermouth Company creating their own SE Dry No3 Vermouth. This business partnership also designs the dining experience for The Tunnel Club Brighton & Hove Albion’s newest and most innovative matchday experience. Steve also supports other food / drink businesses such as BeSaucy the Brighton based vegan sauce company.

Music / Vinyl

Steve has his own artist management company and record label, Liquorice Dragon Records. This has seen him hit the top 10 UK music charts and establish himself in this creative industry with numerous releases cutting across multiple genres by working alongside legendary music producers and DJ`s such as Russell Small and Steve Mac with his You Tube channel showing some great music videos featuring LazerGirl. Steve`s label is run by Chris Hampshire who has also collaborated with Steve resulting in him being be part of The Record Republic vinyl record company. Steve is passionate about music, art and culture and prides himself in supporting and nurturing up-and-coming businesses and talented individuals so that they reach their full potential finding ways to bring unique products to market.

Art / Film / Theatre

Steve has also chosen a venture much closer to home by backing his wife Kim Barrey. Steve, who is also Kim’s manager, is backing artistic talents of Kim by launching her Brighton based art business to the world. Under a new registered brand Kim M Artist. Steve has Kim embarking on her artist journey with the launch of her new website which showcases some of her recent work and also allows her growing followers to purchase limited edition prints. Steve has also managed to combine his love of film with his love of all things Brighton, by being involved and backing Sucker Punch Productions founded by the award winning writer and director Rupert Charmak with I AM SUPER. This short film about the struggles superhero, KING OF CREATURES, encounters when he is banished to Earth through no fault of his own. Although I AM SUPER will be on general release and hit the film festivals, it will also serve as a proof of concept for the feature film KING OF CREATURES due for release in 2024. Steve is opening up further opportunities for these films through his other business ventures such as creating the soundtrack and releasing in vinyl. Through Liquorice Dragon Productions, Steve has brought PUNCHLINE written by Andrew Kay, to the theatre. Steve immediately became interested in the production when he heard about the concept and how the play was being written for his talented friend, Brian Capron.

Following the successful production of Punchline, Steve was inspired to write his own script to bring more drama to the Brighton scene with FLUTTER-BYE. This new play, saw BBC’s Allison Ferns take on her first ever one-woman play, which followed the character of Mary, who guided the audience through a fast-paced, emotional journey as she looked back at the promising singing career she sacrificed to care for her mother who lived with dementia. The premier took place at Ironworks Studios in Brighton, and supported the work of the charity Our Dementia Choir.

Charity / Community

Steve supports many local and national charities such as The Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation and is a voluntary board member of Jersey Crimestoppers in the Channel Islands which he describes as his second home. Steve feels that dragons need a `warm heart to breath real fire` and feels that all businesses however small or large have a responsibility to support both local and wider communities.
